Actor Jaden Smith is “unhappy” that “Gorgeously” actress Sophie Turner has been cast as his love interest in “Gravity.”
Smith is in the final stages of making a movie that he said will explore the struggles of people in a world without love.
“I think the film is really going to be about the struggle of those people,” he said in an interview on Wednesday.
“That’s the heart of it.”
When “Gorgias” premiered in March, the movie was the only major film in the genre to feature a female lead, with “The Amazing Spider-Man” star Tobey Maguire playing the role.
Smith has been a vocal critic of “Goliath” and the “Goggle” film franchise, calling them “a bit of a shitshow.”
He also criticized the film for not showing more black people in its opening credits.
Smith is an outspoken critic of racism in Hollywood and his role in “The Magnificent Seven” earned him a Grammy nomination in 2009.
Smith’s decision to cast Turner came after his mother, Mavis Turner, passed away in November.
She had been battling cancer.
The film is being produced by Michael Whelan and Jennifer Mascarenas, with Turner playing his mother.
The two-time Oscar nominee is set to star opposite Taylor Kitsch and Dwayne Johnson.
