The University of California, Berkeley, has awarded a $5.6m grant to Pinellans for the creation of a new program to help students with learning disabilities in the county.
The program, called The Learning Outreach Program, will create an online resource to help teachers, principals, students, and community members connect with each other and learn about resources.
Pinellas is the only county in Florida with a statewide, statewide statewide education plan.
Its teachers’ unions are also part of the new plan.
The goal of the program is to develop new skills for students who need them most, including those who need more than two credits of academic skills.
The program is expected to launch in 2019.
The University of Florida, which has also partnered with the Learning Outcomes Program, said it will support more than 10,000 students from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, in its effort to educate more people with disabilities in Florida.
