A Pasco school district has suspended teachers in several schools in response to an anti-Islam post they made on social media.
The Pasco School District sent a letter to all principals Thursday stating that “all employees of the Pasco district are suspended for a period of one week for posting derogatory or hateful posts on social platforms.”
It said that the suspension applies to employees who post or comment on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.
It also said that all employees of all districts, including teachers, who are involved in teaching must abide by district policies.
The district has also suspended a teacher in one school district and suspended two teachers in another district, according to the letter.
