Student accused on Monday of raping a 15-year-old student at a New York City school after a confrontation over his dress-up has pleaded not guilty to charges he sexually assaulted him.
The school district said it would not release any further details, including whether the alleged victim is the school’s first victim.
The alleged victim told police he was at a local middle school in September when a group of boys from the district began “making fun” of him for wearing a red-and-white school uniform and asking for sex.
The school district did not identify the boys.
The accused was the victim’s classmate.
The accused was taken into custody after an altercation with the victim, who was wearing a dress and a black mask, school officials said in a statement.
